Black-owned cleaning products that are eco-friendly, organic, and environmentally safe.

Do you remember March 2020? The longest year of life! How can anyone forget!!

Those few weeks of panic, looking for disinfectant wipes, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, water! Walking into a store and seeing rows of empty shelves, seriously considering if that $200 box of wipes from Amazon is worth it, trying to use a grocery delivery service only to find out the next available delivery date is August 2020, wondering if you should set your clothes on fire before walking back into your home. Ah memories.

When we ran out of hand soap in our home and couldn’t find any in stores or online, we started doing some research into smaller, locally owned companies, which led us to EcoDaisy. A black-owned natural cleaning products company created by Dr. Priscilla Johnson. She is a mom and environmental activist with a PhD in water resources engineering. Using her experience in chemical and wastewater cleanup, she created this line of products to be safe for families and the environment. All the products sold are eco-friendly, removing the worry of chemicals on your family’s skin, and what’s going down the drains into our lakes, streams, rivers and oceans. Read more about Dr. Priscilla’s story and journey on the EcoDaisy.

EcoDaisy Hand Soap Bundle of 2 and Disinfecting Wipes

We decided to try a couple of their products including the EcoDaisy Foaming Hand Soap

Having to wash our hands so frequently, we were concerned about dry/cracked hands, but with ingredients such as coconut oil, shea butter, olive oil, sunflower & jojoba oils, EcoDaisy’s hand soap felt luxurious and moisturizing without being oily. Usually soaps with added oils tend to separate after sitting for a while and you’d have to shake them before each use, it was not the case with EcoDaisy’s hand soap. The ingredients also include aloe juice, vegetable glycerin, rosemary extract, and peppermint essential oil.

If you love the smell of peppermint, you’re in for a treat. It reminds us of Christmas time as kids with a Christmas tree decorated with candy canes all over, making the whole house peppermint fresh.

As we enter the new year, we are re-ordering a few of these to restock, and adding some to gift baskets (we have lots of January birthdays coming up). And in the middle of a global pandemic, what better gift than the gift of clean hands while being eco-friendly. As of the writing of this post, a bundle of 2 sells for $21.99.

EcoDaisy has a wide range of products including hand sanitizers, and disinfecting wipes. They’ve recently added air fresheners, multipurpose cleaners, glass cleaners, dish soap and more. We will definitely be trying out these new products and updating this post as we do.
